The Test Center for Solar Electricity Generation Technologies (The "Center") is being established to help accelerate the pace of solar energy as the main endless source of Clean Renwable energy, optimizing the chances of innovative technologies to succeed and provide a unique opportunity for investors in the sector.
Developers of innovative solar electricity technologies will be provided with the full range of technical, financial and other resources necessary to support them along the road towards the marketplace. Dedicated to solar, the center will be the first of its kind and in a strong position to attract high quality projects.
Innovative technologies that have past first stage of applied research and are likely for economical applications within up to 7 years - will be selected. Portfolio companies will be sourced through a variety of methods, with the help of academic institutions, utilities and industrial corporations. The Center is positioning itself as a leading Solar development center.
During a two year development period, the Center will be responsible for overall management and each project will receive extensive support, technological input and monitoring guidance from the Center.
At the end of the two year development period - if milestones have been achieved - the most appropriate method for commercialization of each project and its technology will be established in collaboration with each company. Options will include technology licensing and raising capital investment to enable the project to push ahead as an independent business.
Over an initial period of seven years, the Center is forecasting that a total of 80 new projects will be approved. It is estimated that - if well selected - 25% of them will pass to the next stage towards commercialization. This will provide an attractive IRR for the Center owners.
The Center will provide a variety of strategic services:
a) Establish the right Founding Team for the venture, utilizing its understanding of the importance of recruiting and assembling the resources to match the entrepreneurial goals
b) Selection of the best SOLAR technologies and entrepreneurs which are available for commercialization and guiding the development of those projects towards a commercial pilot, including sourcing for designers and component suppliers and building a marketing and penetration strategic plans.
c) Provide access to Top Tier Service Providers in the fields of Intellectual Property, business law, finance, and accounting. Furthermore, access will be provided to a core group of professionals trained in regulations, market research, strategic business planning, marketing, public relations, advertising and all that will be required to enable commercializing the projects.
These services will be provided to ensure the optimal technical development of their potential technology application and its successful and profitable commercialization.
Besides mentoring services, the Center will provide data processing services including continuous electricity outputs, conversion efficiencies, insolation and plant capacity factors, operating reliability and system availability.
